Great pub/ motorhome stopover which is free if you spend money in the bar. Food is great too, simple but tasty. Very friendly staff and locals who will make you feel right at home.

This outline states Saturday lunchtime 12 - 1 "as busy as it gets". We walked there to enjoy sometime there and hopefully catch the Cup Final if showing. Sign outside said 'We're open". Went through the door at ten minutes to One to meet a bloke who said "Didnt know the door was unlocked, opening at 2pm". 😥😡

The landlord and landlady are trying very hard to make a new start with this rundown pub, and some refurbishment is still crying out to be completed Meal was mediocre mushy peas near cold and chips not fully cooked Strange clientele coming and going

The Prussian queen pub was recommended to us by friends, so we tried it. What a lovely young couple who run it. The food was lovely. We plan to eat at the prussian queen each time we come to our carvan. I would definitely recommend the pub to everyone & help the young couple make a go of the pub.

We were curious to try the Sunday carvery which was £11.50. They were apparently having a bit of a bad day when we arrived as the card machine was down and so was one of the carvery stations, so the food was served direct from the kitchen rather than “help yourself”. Having said that the friendly staff were at pains to point out that we could have as much extra veg and roasties as we liked. The meat was nicely cooked and a decent portion, and the veg was lovely, all fresh and nicely presented. We didn’t try the sweets but there was plenty of choice on the menu. As the previous reviewer said, the new owners must have a to-do list as long as your arm; the interior badly needs freshening up, as does the frontage, but it all takes time. Keep up the good work with the food, guys, work on the kerb appeal, and best of luck!

The views are stunning here and this place has huge potential. That said, the new owners (late 2022?) have got a lot of work on their hands. Right now it's pretty run down, and the food is a bit overpriced for what it is. The staff were friendly though, and with a bit of sweat equity - especially given the close proximity to the sandy beaches of the east coast - The Prussian Queen could be a winner.
